1. Introduction
HexWrapper is a native macOS app published by Jared Bennett under the JT87 brand. These Terms govern your use of the app, the license key, and the related legal pages at jt87.net.
2. License Grant
As long as you follow these Terms, Jared Bennett grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use HexWrapper on macOS devices that you own or control.
Your Responsibilities
- Check your own server setup before running anything: storage paths, permissions, network settings, backups, and environment details are on your side.
- Keep any third-party credentials you use with the app, including GitHub or Docker Hub credentials, secure.
- Review generated scripts before using them, and do not share your license key.
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble HexWrapper; distribute, rent, lend, or sublicense it to others; share license keys; or use the app in a way that violates applicable law.
4. Third-Party Services
HexWrapper works with services and resources outside JT87, including GitHub, Docker Hub, Lemon Squeezy, and TrueNAS catalog resources that are public or available to you. Those services have their own terms, licenses, rate limits, privacy practices, and account requirements.
Those services can change without notice. Catalogs can move, disappear, break format, or return incomplete data. HexWrapper cannot control that and does not promise that third-party content will always be available, accurate, secure, or compatible.
5. Purchases, Licensing, and Refunds
HexWrapper is sold through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, payment processing, receipts, taxes, chargebacks, and related transaction records, and may act as merchant of record for the purchase.
International purchases may be priced or charged in currencies Lemon Squeezy supports. Sales tax, VAT, GST, consumption tax, currency conversion, card fees, bank fees, and local payment-provider charges may apply depending on where you are and how you pay.
Unless checkout says otherwise, HexWrapper purchases are generally final after a license key is delivered or activated. Refund requests can still be reviewed case by case, and Lemon Squeezy may issue refunds or handle disputes under its own policies. Nothing here is meant to take away refund, withdrawal, warranty, or consumer-protection rights that the law does not allow you to waive.
6. No Affiliation with HexOS or TrueNAS
HexWrapper is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by HexOS, TrueNAS, iXsystems, or the owners or operators of those products and services.
HexOS, TrueNAS, iXsystems, and related names, logos, trademarks, and copyrights belong to their respective owners. HexWrapper refers to them only to explain what the app works with.
7. Generated Scripts and User Responsibility
HexWrapper generates install scripts from catalog data, local rules, and the information available at the time. That output can be wrong, stale, incomplete, or a poor fit for your server.
Before running a script, read it. Make sure it matches your HexOS or TrueNAS setup, the app you are installing, your storage layout, your credentials, and any third-party license or server requirements. Keep backups before using generated scripts on systems that store important data.
You are also responsible for any import, export, sanctions, technical, or local-law restrictions that apply to your location, server, credentials, downloaded applications, or use of HexWrapper.
8. Changes to the App or Terms
HexWrapper can change over time. Features, compatibility, pricing, and availability may be updated, paused, or discontinued. These Terms may also change. When they do, the updated date on this page will change, and the posted version will apply unless it says otherwise.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
HexWrapper is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by law, Jared Bennett disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Jared Bennett is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages related to HexWrapper, generated scripts, third-party services, or catalog data.
Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits. If that applies to you, these limits apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
11. Severability
If one part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies. The invalid part should be interpreted as closely as possible to its original purpose while staying enforceable.
